    Day 1

Upon the arrival of your cruise ship at the port of Safaga, your tour guide will pick you up at the exit door to have a 3-hour drive to the city of Luxor. Upon arrival to Luxor, you will start your tour with the visit to Karnak temples. Karnak is not a mere temple; it is a complex of temples. The walls, columns, pylons and murals relate the glorious history of the Pharaohs. It is a great blend of different eras with the contributions of the Egyptian and foreign kings and queens. The obelisks are the witnesses of this great civilization. With your private guide, you will be provided with full information of this great place of worship of the cult of Ra.
Following your visit to Karnak, stay on the East bank of the Nil. Your next stop will be at Luxor temple. This temple was once connected to the Karnak through the Ram- headed sphinxes Avenue. Luxor temple is a great and impressive mixture Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Coptic and Islamic periods. Each period with its rulers put their touch and additions inside the temple. As usual, your private guide will tell you all the history and stories connected with the temple. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant in Luxor before your check in your hotel in Luxor.

    Day 2

After having your breakfast in hotel, you will cross the Nile to the west side to visit The Valley of the Kings, the mortuary temple of queen Hatshbsut. The tour to those sites is quite an experience. The great Pharaohs of the Golden age (New Kingdom) gave up the pyramid cult and stopped building the pyramids, and chose the barren desert on the west bank in Luxor. They hid their mummies and treasures in narrow long tunnels dug in the heart of the mountain. This place is one of the most important archeological sites known as the Valley of the Kings. Many royal tombs were uncovered but the greatest finding is king Tut tomb in 1922.All the tombs are beautifully colored. Your guide will explain the most important stories of the place with his recommendation of the best tombs to visit. Next, to complete the top attractions of the West bank in Luxor after the valley of kings, explore the mortuary temple of queen Hatshbsut. The queen is famous for being the first female pharaoh of ancient Egypt. Your private guide will tell you the story of the divine birth of the queen. Look at the wall paintings and the beautiful design of the temple, which consists of three terraces. The third terrace was used as a monastery during the Christian era. Your guide will explain the history of the temple before giving you free time to explore the temple yourself and spend some time taking pictures of the highlights. Finally, stop at the colossi of Memnon. The two statues represent king Amenhotep III in a seated position. They are made of sandstone. Learn with your private guide why the name of Memnon was given to the statues.
You will have a lunch meal during the tour before drop off to Safaga port.
